Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This position will assist the Director of Accounting with data entry, payment processing, accounts receivable/payable, and any other additional financial related tasks.

Candidate should have an understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software.

Responsibilities:

· Monitoring banking transactions on a daily basis to ensure Wire, ACH, and Checks are properly posted into client accounts

· Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

· Assist with client billings and vendor payments

· Reconciling bank and credit card statements

· Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

· Perform data entry regarding audits and claims

· Send account statements and review billing discrepancies

· Issue notices related to accounts

· Assist in the annual external audit process

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· 0 – 3 years of accounting experience

· Knowledgeable in GAAP

· Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing responsibilities

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
