JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all general accounting functions related to various programs within the organization. This includes, but not limited to; general grant accounting, budgeting, analysis, reporting and conducting special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain accounting and fiscal systems and procedures for sound agency fiscal operations.
• Grant accounting including but not limited to general ledger, financial reporting, and account reconciliation for both programs with and without federal, local, and state funding.
• Prepares invoices/billings and collects funds for support of restricted fund expenditures.
• Grant reporting including preparation of reports for granting authorities.
• Reviewing/monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance with local, state, and federal fund requirements.
• Answer inquiries from federal, state, and local agencies concerning grant information.
• Coordinate with Division Directors and Program Managers to support proper and timely expenditure of grant funds in compliance with applicable guidelines and budget deadlines.
• Develop positive working relationships to foster a collaborative environment for grant coordination and oversight.
• Participate in the implementation of systems to prepare for the agency-wide audit process.
• Collect and analyze the fiscal systems and records for programs and grants as delegated by the Division Director.
• Organize and maintain all files and records.
• Perform report writing and design as necessary.
• Predictable, consistent attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Not for Profit experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• High level of competency working with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

PAY

$50,000 - $60,000 Annually
