Position:Staff Accountant
Primary Location: Harwich Port

Summary

Essential Functions
- Assists the Controller with the daily, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department.
- Process and record daily cash receipts in deposit log and process remote deposits to the bank.
- Prepare and record journal entries as needed.
- Ability to run reports and analyze financial data for reporting.
- Update NetRX system and subsequent pharmacy cash receipts schedule.
- Backs up grant accountant on grant related activities.
- Assists in Preparing year-end audit reconciliations and schedules. Assists outside auditors during the annual audit of the financial statements and internal controls.
- Assists in preparing schedules for regulatory reports, i.e., UDS, UFR, cost reports, tax returns, and informational reports in timely, complete, and accurate manner.
Payroll
- Serves as a backup for payroll function.
- Serves as a backup for AP function.
- Works on a variety of special projects including audits, reconciliations, and regulatory request for information.
Core Competencies/Core Clinical Competencies
- Position requires at least five years of related financial experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite preferred.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively with clients, staff and other agencies is essential.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Position requires minimum of Bachelors or related accounting and finance experience.
- Preferred experience in health care services non-profit/social service organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related accounting and finance experience.
