Essential Functions:
- Maintains the company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets
- Generates reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient as necessary
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies
- Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts including all Balance Sheet accounts.
- Assists with periodic closing procedures
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
- Assisting with RFQ’s
- Assisting with annual financial audit
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Other projects as needed
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Work requires a flexible schedule, occasional weekend and / or evening work
Qualifications:
- Completion of a B.S. in Accounting
- Four to five years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Accounting, Research Skills, Analyzing Information, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Financial Software, General Math Skills
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
- Work requires professional and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
