Another Source's client, Housing Trust Silicon Valley, is recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join their team in San Jose, California. This role works a hybrid schedule of three days on-site and two days remote. If you are someone passionate about numbers, safe, stable, and affordable housing then this may be the role for you!

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000 annually.
Here's a little about the position we are recruiting for:
The Staff Accountant will take pride in utilizing their accounting skills to leave their mark in affordable housing while learning the different accounting aspects of the organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be a key player in ensuring that accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card transactions are processed and recorded accurately. This role will work collaboratively with all departments to ensure timely and accurate information is included in Housing Trust financials and that financial and accounting policies and procedures are followed closely. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

What we would like to see from you:
- BA degree in accounting and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or 3+ years of experience and documented accounting related course work if no BA degree
- Able to analyze results and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel spreadsheets and ability to learn file sharing and CRM software.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong written communications skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in a nonprofit organization and with fund accounting software (Sage/Intacct) a plus
- Knowledge and previous experience in accounting for home mortgages and/or multi-family real estate development loans also a plus
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively while continually delivering high performance.
- Ability to quickly adapt and understand Housing Trust Silicon Valley culture and values.
- Ability to interact effectively at all management levels and collaborate across various levels of diversity including race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, actual or perceived gender identity, age, or sexual orientation.
