Job Summary
We are looking to hire Staff Accountants with a minimum of one year experience to join our growing team. In this full-time position you will be working closely with the managers and partners of the firm to complete audit and tax assignments. This is an ideal position for an individual with a desire to expand their knowledge of financial compliance within an innovative firm.
Responsibilities for
Staff Accountant II
- Prepare audit workpapers and documentation
- Identify accounting issues and research to solve issues
- Review client operating procedures and systems of internal control
- Prepare corporate, partnerships, non-profit and individual tax returns
- Identify tax issues and research to solve issues
- Assist in monthly close procedures including preparing reconciliations and journal entries
- Special projects on an ad-hoc basis
Qualifications for
Staff Accountant II
- Bachelor's degree
- CPA preferred (or working towards a CPA)
- Minimum 1-3 year experience in accounting, preferably public accounting
- Availability: 40 hours per week
- Ability to travel to client sites for fieldwork (approx. 30%)
- Strong analytical skills & detail oriented
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Takes initiative and multi-tasks well
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment
