The Staff Accountant - Store Reporting is a professional position responsible for various aspects of the branch Store Reporting process which provides support, internal profit and loss statements and general accounting information to help support store team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare monthly journal entries for both the GL and Branch Store financial statements
Prepare monthly allocation of Corporate expenses to the stores
Analysis of budget to actual variances
Analysis of trended store expenses and net profit
Prepare internal management reports including store profitability, cash contribution & hub reports
Assist with design, creation and maintenance of internal financial reports in Lawson & Excel
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
B.S. degree in Accounting
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail; accuracy
Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing software
Ability to work with limited supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to with the ability to evaluate and research issues to resolve effectively
Excellent customer service skills
