Staff Accountant - Hybrid/Remote

Overview of the Role:

America’s Charities is seeking a high-performing and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing accounts receivable activity, including processing invoices and entering cash receipts, assisting with accounts payable, preparing general ledger account reconciliations, and assisting with the annual audit. The Staff Accountant will provide quality and timely support to both internal and external customers and make recommendations for process improvements.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and send all America’s Charities invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

· Coordinate with various departments to ensure billing information is received in a timely manner for processing.

· Research billing discrepancies and quickly address any issues delaying the billing process.

· Enter daily cash receipt batches in Intacct and ensure cash receipts are posted to the correct customers’ accounts.

· Prepare bank transfer entries for all bank accounts.

· Correspond with customers regarding billing or collection issues and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.

· Prepare remote deposit batches for checks received at America’s Charities office.

· Complete monthly accounts receivable reconciliations accurately and timely.

· Serve as backup for Accounts Payable processing, including issuing operating account, member distributions, and Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) payments.

· Assist with the preparation of documentation for the annual financial audit.

· Identify ways to streamline internal processes to improve operational efficiencies.

· Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

· Minimum of 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience, including processing Accounts Receivable, preferred.

· Proficiency in various technologies, including Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with a preference for experience with Sage Intacct.

· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

**This is a hybrid-remote position with an in-office requirement one day per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
