Staff Accountant

Fit Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant with a minimum of two years of experience. This position pays in the $55K-$65K range depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Support the monthly and annual financial close process
• Accurately create, post, and categorize transactions in the general ledger
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with various required tax filings to maintain compliance
• Manage the expense reporting process and company credit card accounts
• Assist in the preparation and recording of payroll transactions
• Assist with various annual renewals such as business licenses and contractor’s license
• Assist in the collection of past-due accounts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• One to two years of financial/corporate accounting experience (preferred, but not required)
• General understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software (preferred, but not required
