Job Description
- Work with Controller to understand and master our financial software.
- Independently handle day-to-day business transactions and prepare reports according to published schedule.
- Desire to expand role, learning and assisting Controller in other aspects of the business.
- Continue to grow in knowledge and aspire to obtain CPA certification.
- Become proficient in aspects of tax planning.
- Daily financial revenue transaction download and import to software.
- Daily bank and credit card downloads, assigning accounts to each transaction.
- Periodic fulfillment of sales orders relating to consulting business.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closes, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Prepare financial reports as requested by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
- Work with brokers and other staff to ensure financial systems are properly and efficiently capturing data and providing support to the staff.
- Track and manage fixed assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 5 years experience in public or private accounting.
- Desire to obtain a CPA license.
- Desire to continue professional growth in all areas of accounting, including taxation.
- Ability to work as part of a team, multitasking and prioritizing duties assigned.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to the business and partners.
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and committed to excellence.
