Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant are to drive the monthly closing process, ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled, and provide timely and accurate financial statements to the Controller and senior leadership. The Staff Accountant will also participate in the semi-annual review of standard costs utilized by the Company. Essential Functions

- Lead for Month-end processing.
- Prepare and record all journal entries.
- Prepare all monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Working with the Controller, review current standard costs on an ongoing basis.
- Working with the Controller, prepare workflow documentation for all Finance/Accounting processes.
- Cross train into other areas of the finance department.
- Make recommendations that could improve Finance/Accounting processes.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
