Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of routine tasks pertinent to the month-end closing process; account reconciliations; account analysis and other general accounting functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares and enters assigned monthly standard and adjusting journal entries.
- Analyzes and documents actual revenue / expense to budget variances.
- Performs general ledger account reconciliation and analysis.
- Assists in the annual independent audit process.
- Assists with report writing and system maintenance activities.
- Performing other tasks within the accounting department as assigned.
- Ability to work with various computer software systems – Financial Edge and OneSite.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience required.
- Minimum 1-2 years general accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- HUD accounting and OneSite experience a plus.
- General ledger account reconciliation experience.
- Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with accounting software system.
- Detail oriented.
