JOB MISSION:
The Staff Accountant is part of the STL Finance Team that ensures accurate accounting records are maintained for the US eCommerce division. Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, reviews expense accounts, assists in monthly closing process and financial reporting, and provides accounting support as needed.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assists in monthly closing process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Standard monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, credit card fees & chargebacks)
Adjusting journal entries
Analyze departmental expenses and provides variance analysis
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Bank & credit card reconciliations
Prepare supporting schedules for reporting package
General accounting duties:
Daily tracking of bank activity, enter into accounting system
Support daily sales/credit card reconciliations
Assist with cash application and ERP reconciliations
Monitor pending returns and assist with advance credit reconciliation
Process & record the sale of gift cards
Assist with projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
1 –2 years of previous accounting and/or financial analysis experience
Experience using ERP, Microsoft D365 accounting systems a plu
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and establish priorities for self
Detail and results oriented
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
