SalaryElement2 is looking to hire IMMEDIATLY for a Staff Accountant for a manufacturing and transportation group. Below is a quick overview of the job description.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Generate reports on financial performance, budget variances, and other relevant metrics.
General Ledger :
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Post journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Cost Accounting:
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Assist in the development of cost standards and perform cost variance analysis.
Qualifications for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry often include a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA certification (preferred), and relevant experience in accounting roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software are also essential for success in this role.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
