Staff Accountant

IMS Buhrke-Olson, an industry leader in precision metal stamping and assembly with manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico, is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Arlington Heights, IL facility. We are looking for someone with a natural ability with software, to jump in and help out with our transition to Epicor. Job Functions

1. Prepare and record certain journal entries in the appropriate systems
2. Assist in the transition to Epicor
3. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
4. Perform bank accounts reconciliation.
5. Maintain fixed asset accounts and record into F/A system.
6. Update metrics schedules, and various analyses such as Gross Profit by Customer
7. Prepare various schedules for monthly management review and quarterly financial review.

8. Prepare various cost analyses, reviewing costing and margins
9. Assist Controller on special projects, i.e. budgets and sales analysis.

Competencies(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.)

Education/Training – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.

Experience – 3 years of related work experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

Language Skills – Must have excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal. Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Computer Skills – Epicor software experience is required. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
