Staff Accountant

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The Staff Accountant will work closely with senior team members to support clients with financial statements and other accounting-related duties.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or issues that require resolution.
• Support senior accountants and managers in accounting projects.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documents.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field (CPA firm experience a plus).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, etc.).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
