Form of work We are seeking an experienced Accountant - Reconciliation Specialist to work in Gaithersburg, MD for a contract to provide extra support to the department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reconciling financial statements, analyzing discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and credit card accounts.
• Analyze financial data and identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and other supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and statements monthly.
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a focus on reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
