Robert Half has a career-building opportunity for a Staff Accountant with experience and skill to join their team on a permanent basis. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities
- Partake in various department-wide initiatives
- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
- Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

- Current and relevant ERP system experience
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Expertise in SAP
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Recent and relevant accounting experience
- Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
