Description
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. Overseeing a number of key responsibilities including developing and motivating a high-performance team committed to delivering service excellence at all times. Strategic team building and cross training to support current and future goals is essential. Ensuring the consistent delivery of world-class service in line with member expectations and credit union objectives.
• Enter data into accounting systems and update various spreadsheets on a daily basis. Journalize all necessary transactions and verify general ledger is in balance.
• Prepare and post journal entries to reconcile daily debit and credit card settlements, ATM settlements; investigate and clear suspense items.
• Prepare and post monthly general ledger transactions including, but not limited to: investment and participation loan activity and schedules, prepaid and fixed asset subsidiary ledgers.
• Prepare all bank reconciliations prior to the month-end close; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end close and financial statement preparation as needed.
• Review and analyze financial data. Generate a variety of reports as requested by management.
• Cross-train in the preparation of the quarterly NCUA 5300 call report.
• Assist in working with regulatory agency examiners and auditors in the completion of NCUA exams and financial statement audits.

Requirements
• Minimum two year degree in accounting or two years of accounting experience in a financial institution is required.
• Proficient in office equipment including, but not limited to: PC, 10-key calculator, and software such as Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required.
Salary Description
$20-$25 per hour
