Due to our current growth, we are looking for a person to be an integral part to the development, communication, and accuracy of financial and statistical information used in decision-making related to our company-managed stores by our executive team. The position is responsible for monthly financial statements produced in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This individual has a critical role in assisting the monthly closing, analysis and reporting processes, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, store auditing, and other accounting and financial analysis and duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant Lead – Company Store Division.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the financial month-end close process, including researching, preparing, and posting standard, correcting, and accrual entries.
- Prepare internal company store period/quarterly financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and General & Administrative expense reports.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Research, support and provide feedback to the CBLs (Company Business Leaders), Director of Operations, and key executive team members on accounting issues, data in reports, and internal financial statements issued.
- Prepare and ensure completeness and accuracy of all account reconciliations.
- Reconciles bank accounts, verify deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Prepare state and use tax returns.
- Assist and support various annual audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and play a role in the integration of new accounting systems/software.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field.
- At least 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
Critical Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and at times in an at-home work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage time effectively.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to general accepted accounting principles.
- Capable of completing tasks with little supervision.
- Ability to use modern accounting software systems such as Great Plains – Dynamics and the Microsoft suite of office productivity software.
- Confident communicator who can interact with people at all levels of the company.
- Ability to prioritize work demands and multitask.
