Staff Accountant

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements

• ​​Proficient in processing accounts payables and ACH direct payments

• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Strong Excel- Vlookups, Pivot tables, charts, reporting

Plus

• Demonstrated experience in handling multistate monthly sales tax

• Familiarity with tangible or personal property tax procedures

• Competence in managing quarterly payroll tax return processes

• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains software

• Experience with coding languages; SQL, Excel VBA, Python

• CPA

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and payables

• Prepare, file and pay sales tax

• Prepare and analyze financial statements

• Reconcile bank statements

• Prepare worker's compensation payroll audits

• Prepare and file quarterly state unemployment tax reports

• Manage a book of business

• Interact and communicate effectively with clients

The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to provide bookkeeping (processing

of payroll and payables), bank reconciliation, and financial statement/report preparation

services. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
