Job Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. In addition, the staff Accountant duties include confirming compliances with governmental rules, reconciling bank statements, and balancing the ledger for regular reports.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
- Prepares payments by accruing expenses; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
- Posts transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., by assets, liabilities, and expenses)
- Reconciles bank statements
- Analyzes transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Conducts month-end and year-end closures
- Prepares documents for audits
- Applies new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

Education, Work Experience, Licenses, and Certificates
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of stable work history as an Accountant in a corporate environment
- Exceptional computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP level accounting system
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Requires prolong sitting, occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting
- Requires the ability to use speech, vision and hearing
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires the ability to lift and/or carry 20 pounds
- Requires to work in a comfortable office using office equipment and computer

Compensation
$63,000 - $65,000/per year
