Staff Accountant

Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid Onsite- 4 days/week onsite)
Duration: Direct-hire
Compensation: $55k-$65k
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Job Description: Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.
Processes bi-monthly payroll.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 2-5 years of accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Advanced level proficiency and power user of Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting with great attention to details.
Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
Ability to communicate with impact to deliver key messages to stake holders.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment with individuals of diverse disciplines in a goal-oriented environment.
