Endeavor Schools has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will manage all full-cycle accounting duties but to also take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. This is a full-time position working out of our Miami, FL office.
Essential Tasks:

• Create and post journal entries and prepare necessary supporting documentation
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations, propose adjusting journal entries and submit them for Corporate Controller's review
• General ledger accounting and mapping of fixed assets
• Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)
• Serve as liaison between schools and accounting department
• Special projects, as necessary

Experience and Education:

• At least 2 years' experience in corporate accounting and/or in a public accounting firm required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and research skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in NetSuite, ProCare and/or bill.com is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Solid written and verbal communication, organizational and planning skills
• Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and personnel concurrently
