Job Description
The Springs Living Home Office team in McMinnville, OR. is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. Are you analytical, a go-getter, and enjoy working with a team? At The Springs Living, the Staff Accountant supports accurate and timely financial statement reporting in accordance with GAAP guidelines. This position requires knowledge of basic accounting principles and problem solving and critical thinking skills. It works closely with the other members of the accounting team, human resources, and the business office managers at the communities. Responsibilities Include:
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
- Prepares and posts journal entries to record accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP, including full documentation.
- Records and reconciles intercompany transactions.
- Maintains depreciation, amortization, prepaid and accrual schedules.
- Researches and reconciles general ledger account issues.
- Processes electronic bank transactions.
- Continually looks for and implements process improvements.
- Ensures supervisor is regularly and promptly informed of work status and any issues for which guidance is necessary.
- Completes projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- At least 2 years of related accounting experience required.
- Knowledge and application of accounting principles and functions, including a full understanding of GAAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with team members, peers, and management.
- Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision, but asking questions as needed.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines, by utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with accounting systems required.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook applications.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year
