Staff Accountant

On-Site Staff Accountant
Allied Stone is the largest importer and fabricator of natural stone countertops in Texas; and we have an immediate need for a Staff Accountant located in Dallas, TX. This position is a key member of the Finance Team. This position will assist with the day-to-day finance operation, business data analytics, financial and operational data reconciliation, ERP system audit, and workflow development. This position is an on-site position and regular office hours are expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers, and perform general accounting functions.
Maintain fixed asset records and maintain proper record of new purchases and disposals.
Analyze and track capital spending.
Assist with the month-end and year-end close.
Prepare adjustment and accrual entries by maintaining records and files.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations, and various balance sheet account reconciliations.
Supports accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry as necessary.
Coordinate with operations to prepare operational KPI's.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Assist with developing and implementing strong internal controls and standardized business processes.
Assist with documenting standard operating procedures.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree in Accounting would be a plus.
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Solid knowledge of GAAP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to multi-task and prioritize.
Detail oriented and well organized.
Displays initiative and take-charge attitude.
Any wholesale/distribution/retail industry experience is a plus.
Strong passion for continuous improvement of business processes.
Strong passion for modern technology and its applications to business operation.
Ability to work under time constraints.
