A piece of equestrian tranquility nestled amongst the hustle-bustle of the Los Angeles area, this 75 acre show venue is home to over 50 events and clinics each year! There is something for everyone here, whether they are an avid equestrian, a curious spectator, or someone looking for a casual afternoon trailride through the park. With permanent stabling for up to 500 long-term boarders, this facility is also home to several trainers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Large and private event spaces, cafes, VIP spectator and wine lounges, and small equestrian boutiques round off the offerings at this world-class venue for visitors from all walks of life. Job Description
We are looking for an experienced equestrian to take over as Stabling Manager for this bustling equestrian center in the heart of Los Angeles! This individual should be extremely well versed in equine wellness and management and have spent some time managing large, show quality herds (200+) This person will be responsible for ensuring high quality care of the facility's 300+ long-term boarders and 10+ individual trainers, along with their team of full-time barn staff. This is an extremely diverse facility, with several different "tiers" of boarding, from high-end show barns to pleasure riders and polo ponies. This person will be tasked with all onboarding of new clients, record keeping on all horses on site, management of horses coming and going from the property (boarders at minimum, competition horses IF capable). Barn management software (BarnMaster) will be implemented so familiarity with this software or similar would be highly desired. This person will also be responsible for implementing and enforcing facility policies & procedures, and as such must have exemplary communication and conflict resolution capabilities. In all, a team player who is highly organized and has experience managing high volume horses in a high quality setting, who is not afraid to jump in and clean a stall, help with feeding, or administer medication will excel in this role.

Job Duties
- Ensure all horses on site are healthy and well maintained at all times
- Manage overall boarder and trainer relations, including onboarding, maintenance, rule enforcement and resolution of conflicts
- Develop, maintain, and enforce boarding contracts, rules, and rate sheets for all boarders and assist with stable counts during shows

- Lead, train, and manage stable staff
- Manage suppliers for quality hay and bedding, as well as establish a distribution channel for all users within the facility budget
- Develop and implement proper biohazard security measures to ensure safety of boarders and competition horses alike; including quarantine protocol, evacuation protocol, etc.
- Maintain detailed records of horses on site with stable management software (BarnMaster)
- Make sure facility is up-to-date regarding liability postings, government safety processes for out-of-state competition horses, and overall USEF guidelines for best practices
- Assist with show organization and show stabling as needed
- Be willing to always put the horses first, and offer hands-on assistance with feeding, medications, stall cleaning, etc when needed.


Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years Professional equestrian experience and emergency management
- Prior experience managing large, show-quality equestrian facilities (200+ horses)
- Leadership experience over team of 10+ in equestrian facilities
- Advanced communication and conflict resolution skills
- Advanced organization and record keeping abilities
+ Prior experience with stabling software (BarnMaster+)
- Diverse background in equestrian sport in a variety of settings and disciplines
+ Experience establishing and carrying out emergency procedures on a large scale
