The World Equestrian Center located in Ocala, Florida is searching for a Stabling Managerto join our team!

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in horse show operations and facilities to serve as the full time Horse Show Stabling Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the turnover of the horse show stall reservations, working with the operations manager for planning cleanout of stabling, and the show managers on client needs as it relates to stalls and stall assignments. You will also oversee the billing and collection of the stabling money and tracking payments as well as outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, detail oriented, highly analytical and possess exceptional customer service and communication skills. Top candidates will have prior experience with stabling at large equestrian venues. You should possess a willingness to jump in and a ‘do what it takes’ attitude along with the ability to adapt in any situation. In our organization we lead from the front, so being hands on is a must.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the current show software and other programs to manage stall bookings for weekly and circuit events.
  • Make suggestions on programs and to effectively manage stabling and payments for 3,000+ stalls.
  • Be able to effectively manage and oversee 3,000 stalls and manage the reservations associated with those stalls.
  • Assign stabling and oversee stabling for multiple events running concurrently at the facility. Also understand the management of the FEI compound stabling requirements.
  • Be able to work ahead with stall charts to accommodate weekly and circuit stall bookings and manage changes with trainers and exhibitors. Effectively manage a 3,000 piece puzzle that requires adjustments on a daily basis.
  • Manage Paddock/Turnout assignments based on booking requests.
  • Field concerns and requests of exhibitors and trainers as it relates to stabling and stabling assignments.
  • Report maintenance concerns to the Equestrian Operations manager to maintain the highest level of quality and safety in the stabling area.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with superiors and staff.
  • Set and maintain a high standard of excellence, that will inspire staff, for overall facility cleanliness and conditions.
  • Have experience in running Hunter/Jumper, Western and other disciplines preferred.
  • Maintain a proper accounting system for all the stall reservations: Payments, billing, etc.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of equestrian facility management.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Hunter/Jumper.
  • Experience in FEI competitions preferred.
  • Stabling experience preferred, will assist in training the right candidate.
  • 5+ years equestrian event operations background (high caliber show settings preferred).
  • Ability to self-manage in order to meet long-term and short-term deadlines.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and communicate effectively in the same manner.
  • Exceptional rapport building skills for both staff and clientele.

* Please note this position is located in Ocala Florida and requires the candidate to work onsite full time.
