What You Will Contribute:
This position is responsible for a range of warehouse support and training activities. Individual will be responsible for daily warehouse operations at location to include filling sales orders, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, bin and product locating. In addition this position will responsible for initial training of all Branch location warehouse shipping and receiving personnel. Additionally, they are to act as a resource across the Company, aiding shipping and receiving personnel at all branches with any and all issues that may arise.
Major Job Duties/Accountability:
- Manage and perform daily warehouse shipping operations to include accurately filling customer orders and branch transfers for shipment.
- Insure accuracy of orders pulled and packed by warehouse staff..
- Working with freight line and parcel carriers to provide the most efficient and cost effective transportation solution for the customers.
- Receive material from vendors to include confirming correct material has been shipped, inspecting for any freight damage and filing freight claims if necessary.
- Replenish shelf stock and update Bin Locations as needed in computer to ensure accurate cycle counting.
- Perform daily cycle counts to include notating any variances or incorrect Bin Locations.
- Work with purchasing to correct or reconcile any inventory variances or discrepancies.
- Rotate inventory to insure the oldest product is sold first.
- Operate and maintain the water meter test bench using industry standard procedures to insure accurate test results.
- Train all new branch location or acquisition Operations Managers and warehouse personnel on all warehouse operations best practices and procedures to include, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, forklift safety and operation, warehouse safety Fed-Ex and UPS software operation
- Assist warehouse personnel in other branches to resolve inventory/warehousing issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience
- High School Degree or Up to 2 years of formal post-high school specialized trade, technical school or college
- Basic skills in MS Excel and MS Outlook
