- Manage and coordinate preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns, and income tax provisions
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations
- Respond to notices from various taxing jurisdictions
- Participate in tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, preparing supporting workpapers and drafting responses
- Preparation of the annual and quarterly ASC 740 income tax provisions, reconciliation of tax accounts, and tax disclosures required for SEC reporting
- Responsible for timely account reconciliations and required entries for all direct tax accounts.
- Monitor and interpret tax law changes and the impact on tax positions and calculations.
- Assist with all tax aspects of purchase accounting under ASC 805 and ASC 740 related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or dispositions
- Evaluation of goodwill and intangibles to ensure appropriate tax treatment.
- Support internal and external audit requirements
Requirements:
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
- BS in Accounting, Masters in Taxation, CPA
- 3-4 years of audit experience out of Big 4 firm
- Tax provision experienced required
- Large M&A activity experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Able to adapt to changing priorities
