Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Job Mission: Acting as a force multiplier and “right hand” to Controller. Overall mission to ensure “on-time and to spec” high integrity financials and financial reporting for various stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid Schedule

Office Location: San Jose, CA

Job Duties:

• Day-to-day, month-end and year-end accounting related.
• Assist Controller with preparation of monthly financials in accordance with GAAP.
• Drive the month-end and year end closing processes.
• Analyze GL variances and reconcile as needed; report anomalies to Controller.
• Record end of month journal entries, elimination entries, and other adjustment entries.
• Maintain and update fixed asset / depreciation schedule and inventory.
• Maintain and update monthly work papers and prepaid schedules.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Provide support in financial audits.
• Assists CFO/Controller with company audit.
• Financial reporting.
• Oversee financial reporting including the month-end and weekly financial reporting.
• Assist Controller with liquidity management including borrowing base calculations and 13-week cash flow forecast.
• All other Financial responsibilities as indicated by managment.
• Provide back-up for rest of team and perform other related duties as required including AR management / collections support and AP management as-needed.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting required.
• Minimum 10 years progressive accounting experience; preferably within construction industry.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online; knowledge of Aspire landscaping software a bonus.
• Advanced Excel knowledge (IF statements, H/V/X lookups, and Pivot Tables).
• Multi-tasker, who is organized and efficient with strong attention to detail.
• Take initiative and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Collaborative spirit and communicate nature

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
