Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a Speechwriter and Content Creator for senior executives at proprietary and brand-owned events, C-level customer meetings, sales events, and other internal (employee engagement) and external (customer marketing and event-based) speeches and videos to be delivered by senior leadership. • Partner with the content and event teams to identify the right executives for marketing (e.g., Amazon Business Value Proposition video), events (e.g., Amazon Business Reshape), and paid sponsorship opportunities (e.g., WSJ CEO Council) based on subject matter expertise and business goals. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build executive content, scripts, and strategy for events. • Create and deliver sales content and talking points, speeches, scripts (recommending visuals when possible) for Amazon Business senior leadership to be used for customer and employee facing materials. • Recommend best practices and proactively recognize opportunities to reuse, repackage, and optimize content for events. • Measure results (evaluations, attendance, feedback) on content and communicate findings back to key stakeholders.
Your day-to-day responsibilities might include: meeting with internal content teams to identify upcoming opportunities and Content needs; developing or editing content/speeches/talking points/video scripts for leaders to be used at proprietary (Amazon Business owned) and brand-owned (Amazon Business sponsored) events and meetings; researching and proposing content ideas; and selecting and preparing Amazon Business speakers for sales/customer-facing/and internal events.
About the team
Please note that this is a marketing role, not a communications or a public relations role. The speechwriter will join Amazon Business’ Brand & Thought Leadership team (within Central Marketing), which works to help Amazon Business develop relationships with C-level audiences around the world. You'll work alongside strategists, event marketing managers, content marketing managers, and sales teams to help our senior leaders engage effectively with C-levels worldwide. While this role focuses on content creation in close coordination with the Communications team, this role does not involve engaging externally with press and/or influencers. This role will reside in the marketing/brand/content function.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
