Who will you be working with:

This is a per diem/on call position. Schedules will vary, and hours offered will be based on availability and willingness to take assignments. Some assignments will require reporting to a central location and driving with a team in a company vehicle to the location- up to four (4) hours away.
Essential Functions:Sr. Specialized Security Officers will be expected to handle moderately complex security functions while operating without direct supervision, utilizing training and previous law enforcement, military, or supervisory private security experience. Primary security functions for accepted applicants who complete required position specific training include, but are not limited to:
Specialized Cargo Security
Standardized Search and Seizure of Threat Items
Site and Asset Inspections
Security Staff Coordination
Staff in the Special Operations Department are subjected to working in all environments, with a variety of clients, stress situations for complex projects which demand analytical skills, logical reasoning and excellent communication skills as a part of the security infrastructure in the above cited contracts. All personnel are involved in multi-level aspects with all clients.
QualificationsQualifications/Requirements
This position requires you to obtain Airport Badging and The Department of Homeland Security requires an extensive background check to obtain badging which include 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, credit, education, and personal references. Applicants must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration.
Federal regulations specify U.S. Citizenship, naturalized or birthright as an eligibility requirement to participate in mandatory position specific training.
Additional requirements
- Three years + experience in a supervisory capacity
- Five years + experience in Law Enforcement, Military, and or Private Security/Government Contract
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid State Security License
- Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes, exams, and inspections as administered in accordance with federally regulated mandates and corporate policy
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record to be eligible to drive company vehicles
- Must be willing and able to participate, with negative results at all times, in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- No history of ever failing an FAA Drug or Alcohol test
Language Skills: English Proficiency required (reading, writing, and speaking)
Reasoning Ability:
- Must exhibit sound judgment and decision making

- Must include appropriate people in decision making
- Ability to prioritize effectively
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Work is performed in a combination of indoor/outdoor environments, and involves exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants, moving mechanical hazards, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices; able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of being on ones feet for extended periods of time and lifting 50 pounds unassisted.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
