Required Qualifications
- 5 years previous educational and management experience in Radiology required, including quality assurance, safety and state and federal regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health -PREFERRED
Essential Functions
- Administers departmental program
Coordinates Department Quality Assurance Program.
Manages and updates Imaging Policies and Procedures.
Analyzes department processes for performance improvement.
Acts as Imaging Safety Liaison
Prepares and coordinates all regulatory surveys.
Familiar/frequent user IDXRAD and CR or PACS. - Quality management
Collates and presents quality outcome data regarding film repeat rate analysis.
Establishes new quality improvement projects based upon department operational needs.
Communicates quality improvement projects and outcomes to staff.
Develops staff participation in quality improvement projects.
Participates in department/team meetings that contribute to shared decision making.
Assists in presentation to Quality Council on annual basis. - Training and education
Develops department and job specific competencies for Imaging employees.
Develops and presents orientation program to new employees.
Organizes, plans and presents in-service programs for Imaging staff.
Develops in-service programs for quality improvement projects and issues.
Develops staff and physician participation for in-services training.
Participates in the Imaging Leadership Team.
Works closely with secretarial support to ensure field files are updated and maintained to standard.
Assists with direct observation of each staff member each year to ensure P&P and techniques of exams meet or exceed standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Full working knowledge of RIS system, IDX -- preferred
