Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)

They are seeking a talented Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for 40 hours per week.
Job Summary:
The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care with special emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms to the hospice patient.
Job Details:
- Assess the physical and psychological status of the patient.
- Identifies problems/needs of patient of caregiver, making recommendations for pain management and comfort/symptom management.
- Coordinates care with other disciplines as needed.
- Responds to calls promptly when received from answering service. Is able to prioritize.
- Communicates information regarding patients plan of care with other hospice staff members as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- We're excited to train RN's that are passionate about hospice care!
- Must have nursing experience in one of the following if no hospice experience: medical/surgical, ED, home care, or critical care
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current Driver’s License and/or own transportation available to maintain caseload, schedules and travel to clients’ homes
- Is computer literate, enters information into computer in a timely and accurate manner. Uses electronic means of communication effectively within agency policies and practices.
- Able to meet Employee Work Simulation Evaluation

Job Type: Full-time
Hours per week:
- 37.5
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday; 8:30 am-4:30 pm
- NO on-call or weekends
Productivity:
- 4-5 visits per day
- Will manage a caseload of 10-12 patients on average
Work Location:
- Mix of facillity based and home based Hospice care in Fairfield County (South Team: primarily Greenwich and Stamford)
- Will have a territory close to residence

Compensation:
- $90,000 - $92,000
- IRS mileage reimbursement
