Sr. Software Systems Engineer

Caregility is seeking a Sr. Software Systems Engineer. This is a Full-Time, Exempt Role. The position will be based out of our headquarters in NJ. The Sr. Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development and management of OS and Driver level support for Audio/Video communications in variety of devices like workstations, desktop PC’s, tablets and mobile phones. The candidate will be working with WebRTC based video communication applications on endpoints. The candidate must have the ability to interface new Camera/ audio devices, medical devices for access by real time applications. The candidate will also need the ability to deploy and debug realtime media handling utilities. They will use remote desktop monitoring tools to debug issues in Remote Telehealth stations. They will need to have hands on development experience with SDK’s for Cameras, Audio devices and Touch Screens on Unix and Windows 10 based PC’s. They will also need working experience with video and audio communication over IP networks as well as debugging network packet traffic issues using Wireshark or other packet capture tools. They will need to have the ability to work with REST API’s with Cloud based servers and verifying security levels in communications , deploying AES encryprion and FIPS -140 standard for WiFi communications.

This position reports to the VP of APS Software Development. The VP of APS Software Development will provide direction and support to the Sr. Software Systems Engineer in regard to the following areas; overall project goals and timelines; requirement from users on our Video communication platforms; implementation and testing environment, development and improvement, career development and client escalation issues. This position will also work closely various departments to interface with endpoint devices, WiFi carts and ot Pexip servers for debugging and monitoring UHE based Video consultations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Development on the frontend Stack for multiple Web based Applications.
• Work with in-house and offshore developers in parallel.
• Responsible for working with building and maintaining design documents for frontend designs and mock-ups.

Skills & Abilities:

• Hands on experience with debugging interfaces such as USB 3.0, HDMI and Bluetooth for interaction with Cameras, Audio devices, wireless stethoscope, etc.
• Knowledge of VISCA and UVC protocols for supporting Video Streaming and PTZ control
• Knowledge of using tools like Wireshart and TCPdump to analyze packet trafiic and signaling to support TCP/IP communications for realtime Video and Audio.
• Experience with remote diagnostics usings tools like Teamviewer.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows development environments as well as working knowledge of programming language C and scrpting language like javascript.
• Experience in creating images on flash drives of programs and use of realtime operating systems.
• Self-starter and able to make technical decisions regarding delivery and testing of software modules.
• Team player and working in a larger team of engineers with complimentary skills.
• Experience with Univago HE, iObserver, JavaScript, Ruby, React, Angular, Electron, Wireshark, TCPdump, Teamviewer, HTML, CSS, BootStrap, Haml.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent schooling
• At least five years of system level experience in computer systems and media devices.
• Experience in data acquisition and analysis especially over IP networks and cloud based systems.

• Current valid U.S. Passport is desirable.
