Role: Sr. Software Engineer - X Developer Platform
Location: SF
Base Salary Range: $162,000 USD - $226,000 USD

With more than 500 million active users and billions of tweets per week, X offers robust, real-time and historical data, insights and engagement opportunities across a wide range of organizations and industries. Our API gives you the ability to learn from and engage with the conversation on X and we supply developers to further uncover, build on, and share the value of this conversation with the world.

X Developer API Products Include:
- Real time streaming access to X data
- Historical access to archived X data
- Insight into X engagement data
- Enrichments on X objects derived from the latest machine learning technologies
- Flexible access to aggregate data
- End to end developer experience
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with engineering, product leadership, business leadership, and engineers across the company.
- Maintain existing stack and build new API products based on native changes and exciting new features on the X platform.
- Craft elegant and streamlined solutions to solve problems and fix bugs.
- Help drive the direction of our growing architecture.

- You have experience working with big data processing (Hadoop, Storm, Scalding, Kafka etc) and NoSQL databases.
Requirements:
- MS or BS in Computer Science
- 5+ years of industry experience working on commercial software application or services
- Strong Industry experience with Scala (ideally) or JVM-based programming language
- Distributed Systems experience (Kafka experience is a plus)
- Experience working with RPC frameworks (like thrift) and microservices
- Understanding of core CS concepts, such as, common data structures and algorithms
- Experience with front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
