Sr. Software Engineer, Web

The Senior Software Engineer, Web is responsible for developing and maintaining features with minimal direction and supervision across larger, more complex solutions. This position also contributes to design and requirements discussions with product owners. The Senior Software Engineer should be proficient with object-oriented programming, specifically C#, VB.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, and is expected to have working knowledge of pre-compilers and bundlers. They should be comfortable in a collaborative team based environment, and play a role in mentoring more junior engineers. The Senior Software Engineer is also expected to be driven to continuously improve and expand their own knowledge and technological skillset.

Job Duties

• Build new or enhance/maintain existing web applications as a full stack developer.
• Develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and website.
• Collaborate with senior team members to ensure UI usability and integrity.
• Regularly review code and actively collaborate with other developers on best practices.
• Apply software engineering best practices.
• Mentorship towards more junior engineers.
• Breakdown of features into workable items.
• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Secures and deploys resources effectively and efficiently.
• Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
• Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Software Development, or related field, with 5+ years hands-on experience developing web applications using .NET Frameworks, ASP.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, as well as SQL Server programming including T-SQL, and stored procedures, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Familiar with .NET(VB and C#) - More specifically, ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Generic web development understanding (How http works, request/response headers, sessions, cookies, etc.)
