Description

SAIC is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (C#/.Net) to join our dyamic team supporting the Department of Veteran affairs and the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) program.

This position is 100% remote! 

The key responsibilities for this position include: 

•  

  Create logical and functional software code in C#/ .Net. 
• Provide Operations and Support for X.12 Claims software (in the AWS Gov Cloud environment)

• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software supporting the different X.12 Transaction codebase.

• Recommend improvements to existing software as necessary. 

• Identify weaknesses or risks and make recommendations to mitigate.

• Analyze problems and determine appropriate course correction measures as necessary. 

• Work as a proven Software Engineer operating on Agile/SAFe software development and DevSecOps modernization workstreams in the role of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Senior Developer 

• Exhibit experience in utilizing and evangelizing Agile/SAFe software development practices and structured software development methodologies. 

• Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation of software. 

• Design the component architecture of the application and ensure development adherence. 

• Attend stakeholder and product owner meetings to define software requirements and create highly complex systems. 

• Research new technologies and suggest adoption where appropriate. 

• Collaborate with product owners by aligning business needs with technical solutions. 

Qualifications

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 

• 5+ years’ experience developing in C#/ .Net. 

• 8+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. 

• Must be able to receive a Security Clearance / Public Trust 

Required Skills:

• Experience with public cloud environments (AWS Gov Cloud)
• Experience with large complex databases / SQL

• Experience working in GIT.

• Agile SCRUM/SAFe experience 

• Excellent technical problem-solving and debugging skills. 

• Strong skills in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work. 

• Strong attention to detail and thorough in completing tasks. 

• Strong time management and coordination skills, and ability to adjust in fast-paced environment. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with X.12 Transactions / medical claims.

• Experience working in the AWS Gov Cloud

• Experience working with large complex environments.

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
