Associate Software Engineer

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Software Engineer to join our API & Integrations Team. In this role, you will responsible for front-end UI development, back-end API development, and DevOps infrastructure. Develop innovative financial and banking-based web applications that positively impact customer experiences and digital interactions with First Hawaiian Bank.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is: $70,000-$88,000 per year; commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent experience required.
• 1-3 years of experience programming in a modern programming language preferred.
• Source / version control experience with Git.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies.
• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• High-level knowledge of complete technology stack across front-end, back-end and infrastructure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
