What you'll do
DocuSign is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Software Engineer to join our Product Led Growth team under the Marketing vertical. The Sr. Software Engineer will execute all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, to deliver on the vision of a true CI/CD environment maximizing development productivity and product quality.
You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You enjoy helping the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggesting ways to make the team more effective, mentoring and modeling engineering standard methodologies.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Engineering.

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

California: $146,800.00 - $235,025.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $139,800.00 - $197,400.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $139,800.00 - $207,325.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.

Responsibility
- Write high-quality test framework code, primarily in TypeScript, that is easy to consume, extend, and maintain
- Build a world-class infrastructure for test automation and CI/CD
- Write maintainable, stable, and efficient automated tests
- Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and version control systems (GIT)
- Create test strategies for assigned features, covering functional, usability, security, compatibility, and performance quality aspects
- Collaborate with the rest of engineering to improve the overall software development process, quality, and efficiency using the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation

What you bring
Basic
- BS degree in CS or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional experience building test frameworks, tools, or advanced automation using object-oriented design and programming skills
- 5+ years of experience in improving product quality and maximizing Developer Productivity
Preferred
- Experience writing maintainable, performant, and reusable code for CI/CD components
- Experience with continuous integration systems
- Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, Ruby, or C#
- Experience with end-to-end automation tools, such as Playwright and Puppeteer
