As the Sr. Software Engineer you will be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell HPS. You will be instrumental in designing, planning, and coordinating work teams, as well as providing technical support. You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. You will interface and exchange with internal and external customers, vendors, and suppliers throughout the life of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a member of Systems Engineering Team, you will provide the strategic direction for product/process technology in Security, Communications and Networking for Control Systems. 
Champion internally funded SBE research and development efforts.
Support the existing communication infrastructure subsystem for Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast protocols
Embedded Linux Development
Support threat modeling for assigned projects
Collaborate with security test team to analyze and position security testing results
Triage/Impact Analysis of NIST CVE alerts and independent product vulnerability reports
Provide oversight and guidance to project design and test teams where infrastructure will need to be changed to meet new functional and non-functional requirements
As required, assume design and implementation tasks on time critical projects as well as critical customer continuation type of activities
Have Broad understanding of technically complex product and process technologies.
Integrates well across multiple disciplines.  Demonstrates good working knowledge of several technologies, careful judgment, and application of modern technical tools to diverse, often difficult-to-define problems and requirements.
Keep up with Automation Industry trends for use of networking technology and help define future control systems architecture in Networked Control and IO for industrial applications.
Regularly serves as a resource of process/project information throughout Honeywell and industry.

YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
5+ years Software development experience leading product development with disruptive trends in the industry
