Job DescriptionThis key Sr. Software Engineer position at Buehler will be responsible for scoping, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. This position will involve daily local and international interaction with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to develop top notch software and equipment. The candidate must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and enjoy working at a fast pace. This role requires in-office work with electromechanical machinery, but offers hybrid working depending on current tasks and projects.
Provide technical direction for Buehler’s Software Engineering team and help drive a culture of continuous improvement
Establish technical vision and design specifications for complex software applications
Partner with product team to develop technical roadmap for multiple software platforms and strategically look for ways to simplify software portfolio
Design, develop and test software to deliver high-quality products
Exercise, and coach others on, best practices and methodologies for software development
Support Buehler service and applications teams to address customer issues and provide prompt resolution
BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience.
Drive to produce an amazing product
Ability to work well with others, and independently
Proven software development expertise in C#, C++, or similar language
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Ability to work closely with non-technical product teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Software architecture experience in Windows or Linux based systems
Intuitive GUI design experience
Previous experience working with WPF and Qt
Previous experience working with SQL databases
Experience using and administrating Git
Computer vision and image processing experience
Interest in AI and machine learning
Experience interacting with machine layer firmware
