Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Develop high-performance code for central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU) based systems for artificial intelligence powered applications. Evaluate complex technical data to develop strategic recommendations and to resolve technical issues. Code optimization and performance analysis for GPU software to make enhancements to existing products and development of new products. Test software for hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design. Show technical leadership on small to mid-size projects and on definable portions of larger projects related to developing and advancing AMD technology. Collaborate with external teams on new product initiatives. Communicate the status of Software Development projects and related interdependencies to management or senior design staff.
