Responsibilities and Duties Required
- Responsible for creating and maintaining shipping/receiving work instruction per below:
- Work instructions by product by Customer
- Out-side service PO creation work instruction
- Raw Material receiving work instruction
- MRO work instruction
- Generate all purchase orders for outside services.
- Assist with quoting outside services as required.
- Call vendors for outside services status to align with MRP dates.
- Provide daily shipment list that includes tracking numbers to Senior Management.
- Ensue all raw materials are being cycle counted every quarter.
- Align and ensure product is being shipped correctly to meet Customer requirements.
- Communicate with Quality in advance for paperwork required for outbound shipments.
- Provide direction, training and priorities to shipping and receiving clerks.
- Provide delivery note paperwork to finance for product to be invoiced daily.
- Order all shipping/packaging material required.
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to safely move materials to proper areas.
- Make pickups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle, as required.
- Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyer to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
- Ensure we are shipping at the lowest cost for all Shapes responsible shipments
- Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Schedule pick up by the carrier specified on the customer order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk via the shipping instructions.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always.
- Pull material per work order and complete all paperwork requirements and complete the proper transactions in the ERP system when required.
- Implement and perform material cycle counts as scheduled
- Review and ensure accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders
- Contribute in continuous improvement with department objectives
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Assist in Stock Room as needed
- Other responsibilities as requested, directed, or assigned.

- Forklift certification preferred.
Job, Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, move, transport and load items across the building up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for length of shift.
- May be required to work on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- May be exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.
- Specific coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of equipment.
- May work in close proximity to others.
Visual Acuity:
- Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected.
- Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read computer screen and documents.
Hearing Ability:
- Normal hearing or corrected to normal.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
Working Conditions:
- Factory environment.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours.
- High noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposure to chemicals associated with manufacturing.
