We're looking for a Sr. SEO Manager (Content)Built In is seeking a highly-motivated and creative Sr. SEO Manager (Content) to oversee our SEO content strategy. You will report directly to the Sr. Director, Growth, becoming a key member of the company's Growth Division. You will be responsible for managing one SEO Analyst and working closely with Editorial leadership on a variety of strategic initiatives to grow Built In's content search traffic across eight dedicated local sites and one national platform. You are a player-coach who loves working collaboratively on a variety of projects, enjoys mentoring and teaching others, is a self-starter who brings new ideas and initiatives to the table without being asked to do so, and who deeply values the concept of leading with empathy.
How you'll contribute- Oversee all daily content SEO operations with a player-coach mentality, which includes managing one SEO Analyst and working collaboratively with Editorial leadership on strategies, processes and new initiatives
- Evaluate and improve existing content SEO processes for better efficiency and success
- Be a subject matter expert in Built In's core content areas, utilizing your skills to effectively evaluate existing content ideas, as well as generate new ones for research
- Analyze existing content for improvements - creating, scaling and tracking optimization projects both within the SEO team and Editorial
- Conduct competitor analysis, run content audits and lead research/investigation into impacts of core algorithm updates on content
- 3+ years SEO experience (in-house experience a plus)
- Mastery of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, OnCrawl (or similar tool), SEMRush (or similar tool) and other SEO analysis programs
- Management or mentoring experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Mastery of content SEO research, analysis and best practices
- Proven track record of success implementing strategic content initiatives (i.e. traffic + rankings growth of non-branded keywords)
