PURPOSE
The primary responsibilities for this position are to lead the ongoing configuration and administration of Salesforce instances for Ascend Managed Services clients. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the platform. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, clients, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes. This SR. level role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part Salesforce analyst. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of the CRM platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determine business, functional and technical requirements
  • Perform high level administrative, configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform across multiple client environments
  • Perform administrative and configuration tasks with the Salesforce platform and be able to manage multiple environments.
  • Participate in and/or lead efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation
  • Participate in the sales cycle as needed (solution definition, pre-sales, estimating and project planning)

MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree required - Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
 
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • 5-10 years direct experience working on CRM projects for middle market and enterprise size companies
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
  • Proficient work experience with Salesforce automation tools and processes
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification desired
  • Understanding of core web technologies
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as XP/SCRUM
  • Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment
  • Interested in developing their professional network through participation in technology user groups, networking events, and technology organizations.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to put in the extra effort for clients, Ascend and personal growth

Salary Expectations: $100,000 - $115,000
