The Opportunity
The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for reviewing revenue-generating contracts to ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Adobe's policies for revenue recognition and operations.
This individual has a substantial role in analyzing revenue recognition contract information for the company in a timely and accurate manner. The position will be based at the Company Headquarters in San Jose, CA, Denver, CO or Lehi, UT. What you'll Do
Review contracts and associated approvals in CRM for revenue recognition compliance.
Prepare contract summaries to highlight revenue recognition issues and non-standard terms for consumption by leadership and external auditors. Perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy of revenue.
In this role, we expect leadership and mentorship provided to the team while acting as a resource for other team members and partners.
Partner with Legal, and the Operations teams on deal terms and price structuring to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and the company’s revenue recognition policy.
Be a high caliber professional and revenue specialist that is a liaison for contract and associated product issues with Finance, Operations, and Legal teams. Provide revenue recognition review and training to such teams as the need arises.
Work closely with various organizations throughout Adobe to standardize and scale revenue-generating contracts to meet company objectives for revenue recognition.
Prepare data and other support information as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external/internal auditors. Provide support on key projects.
Highlight and implement innovation opportunities for the organization. What you need to succeed BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
3+ years of work experience. Big 4 CPA firm and software proven experience strongly preferred. Technical understanding of ASC 606
Experience in reviewing sophisticated contractual terms and conditions to resolve appropriate revenue recognition in alignment with GAAP
Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be professional and have a positive attitude. Must be detail oriented and well organized with the ability to work under pressure. Need to possess strong problem-solving skills and flexibility. Need to have an even temperament, with excellent work ethic and dedication. Outstanding customer service focus
Experience with SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics a plus CPA recommended.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $77,700 -- $168,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
