We are seeking an experienced Mobile Application Tester to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough testing of Mobile Apps to identify bugs and issues and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and user experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop test plans and test cases specifically for mobile applications.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases on different mobile devices and platforms (iOS, Android).
  • Validate the functionality, usability, and consistency of mobile applications.
• Cross-platform Testing:
  • Test applications across a variety of devices, screen sizes, and operating systems.
  • Ensure compatibility and responsiveness of applications on different mobile platforms.
• Performance and Security Testing:
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure applications operate effectively under load.
  • Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection.
• Bug Reporting and Documentation:
  • Document and track all identified bugs and issues.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures and results.
• User Experience Testing:
  • Test and evaluate the app’s user interface and user experience.
  • Provide feedback on app design and functionality from the user’s perspective.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile application testing.
  • Recommend new tools and methodologies to improve the testing process.
• Automation Testing:
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source or commercial tools.
  • Enhance and maintain the automated testing framework.
  • Integrate automation testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
  • Document and track bugs and inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports on test findings and recommendations.
• Quality Assurance Best Practices:
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
  • Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior QA testers in testing methodologies and best practices.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Proven experience in developing automated test scripts and testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, Cucumber).
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Additional knowledge and skills:

• Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and SQL.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
