SalaryThe Senior QA Analysts main responsibility is to develop and implement effective technical and QA plans, scripts, strategies, and programs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performs confirmation of reported defects.
- Designs, implements, executes, and maintains test cases based on requirements.
- Actively reaches out to others when additional tools, information, or other support are required.
- Documents test findings in detail, including clear descriptive written content.
- Collaborates with product managers to investigate and prioritize issues, refine requirements, and draft release notes.
- Collaborates with developers to identify and demonstrate failure points, assist with unit testing, and investigate possible resolutions where appropriate.
- Actively participates in group meetings and discussions.
- Meets release deadlines and other goals on time and on target.
- Maintains quality in every phase of the development life cycle.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of different testing tools, approaches, methodologies, healthcare / clinical workflows, etc.
- Software QA experience, preferably with large enterprise healthcare EHR and RCM applications and interfaces for a complex domain.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle best practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with navigating Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience tracking, investigating, researching inbound and outbound HL7 messages which includes tracing files from source to target, analyzing, and debugging issues.
- Experience with at least one interface engine (InterSystems, Mirth Connect) experience a plus.
- Experience in the healthcare services industry. Familiarity with clinical hospital workflows in acute care and/or behavioral health environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working on a small team where your input matters.
- A passion for building a product with a meaningful mission and real impact on patient care
- Experience in both Client-side (GUI) and Server-side (Text based interface) testing
- Experience testing and configuring HL7 interfaces.
- Previous experience with Medsphere CareVue, Indian Health Service EHR/RPMS or VA Vista or World Vista Electronic Health Record software is strongly preferred.
